On the Trails

  • Respect the trails, the environment and other trail users.
  • Ride only on open trails. and respect any closures or restrictions.
  • Refer to the Warburton Bike Park Website if you are uncertain about
    the status of a trail.
  • Do not disturb or damage the trail surface, vegetation, or wildlife.
  • Stay on the trail and avoid cutting switchbacks. Ride through
standing water, not around it. Ride (or walk) technical features, not
    around them.
  • Leave no trace: Take out your trash and dispose of it properly.
  • Avoid riding in wet and muddy conditions as wet and muddy trails
are more vulnerable to damage than dry ones. When the trail is
soft, consider other riding options. Note that the trails will be closed
if there is greater than 25mm of rain in a 24hr period or at the
discretion of the Warburton Bike Park team after sustained wet periods.
  • Ride within your abilities and always stay in control. Adjust your
speed to match the trail conditions. Control your bicycle: Inattention
for even a moment could put yourself and others at risk.
  • Be friendly and courteous to all trail users, regardless of their mode
    of transport.
  • Be aware of your surroundings, including other riders, pedestrians,
    and potential hazards.
  • Never scare animals: Animals are easily startled by an unannounced
approach, a sudden movement or a loud noise. If there’s an animal
on the track stope and admire and wait for it to move on.
  • Be mindful of the local community: Keep noise levels to a minimum,
especially when riding near residential areas or sensitive wildlife
    habitats.
  • Stop and move dangerous stuff. Plenty of times you are out on a
trail and a branch has fallen on the trail or a larger sized rock has
dislodged and is on the riding line. Don’t just ride on, jump off and if
safe to do so, move the stuff off the trail. If it is too big to move, let
your local trail care group or land manger know about the proble
