Ground Truthing Underway for Drop A K

Drop A K is one of the many new mountain bike trails and connections being planned as part of the Warburton Mountain Bike Destination.

It will feature 36.4 kilometres of epic wilderness riding, and as the name suggests, its one kilometre vertical descent will get the adrenalin running  and have mountain bike enthusiasts clamouring from the four corners of the globe to taste a slice of the action.

Ground truthing works are an important step in the project’s development, helping ensure the trail’s alignment is correctly located to protect what is a very special environmental and cultural area.

The process involves marking out a 1 meter wide trail in the allowed 20 meter trail corridor to ensure there is no negative impact on environmentally and culturally sensitive areas.
