Yarra Valley Trail opening delayed

The opening of Yarra Valley Trail Stage 1A (Lilydale to Yering) has been delayed until mid December 2019 for upgrades to four railway bridges which will allow emergency and trail maintenance vehicles full access along the trail.

Drainage, trail construction, fencing and signage works will continue as planned, though building the bridges to a higher standard than originally specified has extended the project timeline.

Council is working with the contractor to open the section between Lilydale and Coldstream prior to completing the works to Yering.
